In the life of every person, the subconscious plays an important role, which has a strong influence on his thoughts and actions, lifestyle, views and even goals. Often, medications and psychological training alone are not enough to solve many psychological and mental problems. In this case, regressive hypnosis comes to the rescue, allowing you to put a person into a trance state in order to identify secret fears and negative aspects, many of which could have been laid down in deep childhood.
What is regression hypnosis?
The concept of “regression” in psychology is a detailed study of a person’s past, in which one can find the reasons for how he is at the present time. Accordingly, regressive hypnosis is a technique of putting a person into a very deep state of trance in order to discover important information, as well as the root causes of the problems that have arisen. This state even allows you to look into past lives and reincarnations, learn a useful lesson from this and solve your problems, breaking the circle of cyclical situations.
In modern psychology, much attention is paid to the study of regressive hypnosis, and practical experiments show positive results. With the help of trance, you can bring a person out of deep depression, as well as save him from addictions, addictions and mental trauma.
Today, regressive hypnosis is actively used to treat emotional and psychological disorders, giving the doctor the opportunity to get to the source of the disorder or pathology. The methods of immersion in trance here are more complex than those of conventional hypnosis, which is determined by the need to get to the deeper layers of the subconscious. A detailed study of past incarnations allows the doctor to track changes in the patient’s life, understand their pattern and reasons for their occurrence.
History of Regressive Hypnosis
The origins of such hypnosis go back to ancient times, originating from religious teachings about reincarnation, which are found in Hinduism, shamanism, Gnosticism and even early Christianity. If we take the scientific basis, then the famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud is considered the founder of regressive hypnotherapy. His main student and follower, Carl Jung, not only introduced the concept of the collective unconscious, but also began to actively work on deep immersion of a person in a trance through hypnosis.
In the mid-30s of the last century, scientist Edgar Cayce tried to substantiate the idea of reincarnation and past lives from a scientific point of view, in which he achieved considerable success. A real breakthrough in the field of regression therapy was the work of the English psychiatrist Alexander Cannon, who, in addition to theoretical research activities, also carried out practical experiments and introduced patients into regressive hypnosis. His follower, the Czech scientist Stanislav Grof, founded transpersonal psychology and also worked extensively with hypnosis and regression.
Since the late 70s, American hypnotherapist Dolores Cannon has developed a unique technique for immersing a person in deep hypnosis, which is still actively used today. This technique will be discussed in more detail below. In the 1980s, British-American professor Roger J. Woolger first used hypnosis to work through traumatic memories. Other prominent scientists who have been and are still working on regressive hypnosis include Michael Newton, Brian Weiss, Peter Ramster, and Peter Mack.
To date, scientists have proven that regressive hypnosis is not only capable of plunging a person into the depths of his subconscious and “pulling out” important information from it, but also essentially confirms the multidimensionality of the human soul.
Regressive hypnosis - a tool or a weapon
Many scientists believe that regressive hypnosis can, over the course of several sessions, clear a person’s consciousness of subconscious traumas that were inflicted on him in the early periods of life. Thanks to this, you can leave behind phobias and fears, uncertainty and shyness - all that often prevents a person from growing as a person in all respects. At the same time, there are people who are unsure of the effectiveness of such a tool and, on the contrary, consider it a weapon that is used against the person himself and his consciousness.
It is best to consider the facts and become familiar with the techniques that are most in demand today in the field of regressive hypnosis:
Michael Newton Method
This scientist is a certified and internationally recognized specialist in the field of hypnotherapy, who is an honorary member of the American Psychological Association for Psychological Counseling. He developed his own method of immersing a person in regressive hypnosis based on deep visualization of the images that the patient sees during a trance.
He is responsible for the discovery of such a phenomenon as the “immortal soul,” which, in his opinion, exists in the periods between physical incarnations on Earth. During hypnotic sleep, the doctor immersed his patients in the intermediate period of their incarnation, which was called LifeBetweenLives (LBL regression). This technique is aimed at making a person better aware of himself and reaching the level of superconsciousness.
Dolores Cannon Method
American soul researcher who studied in detail the issue of reincarnation, as well as various techniques of regressive hypnosis. In the early 80s of the last century, she managed to develop her own method of immersion in a state of deep hypnosis with the ability to extract knowledge hidden there from the depths of a person’s subconscious. Based on her practice, she was able to help many patients, actually proving the phenomenon of reincarnation from a scientific point of view.
In her numerous scientific articles, she proved that the techniques she proposed have a positive effect on a person’s subconscious without causing him any harm. Over her 30 years of practice, she has successfully treated thousands of people with psychological and emotional trauma.
What problems does regressive hypnosis treat?
The most important goal of regressive hypnosis is the ability to once again relive incidents that occurred in the distant past, but to do this on a more conscious level. This allows you to change your attitude towards these events and begin to perceive them in a completely different way, thus neutralizing this impact on real life. Correct use of such hypnosis allows you to get rid of the following problems:
- Nervousness and worries regarding unimportant things
- Chronic fatigue and lack of sleep due to insomnia
- Sexual dysfunction
- Harmful addictions and habits
- Lack of confidence in yourself and your abilities, shyness
- Phobias and various kinds of fears
- Heal psychological wounds and traumas received in early childhood
- Get out of depression
It is important to understand that regression hypnosis is an effective way to expand your own consciousness, as well as discover new abilities and talents. Often people who have been in such a deep trance begin to see the world in completely different colors, more rosy and promising, which gives one of the most important states - motivation. It is this that allows you to set goals and achieve them, bringing new meaning to life and setting you up for an active life position.
Getting rid of resentment as the most important aggravating factor
With the help of regressive hypnosis, you can penetrate the depths of a person’s subconscious, but he must be psychologically ready to experience all emotions again, including grievances . By the way, some scientists and esotericists believe that resentment is not an emotion, but a pattern of behavior inherent in deep childhood, aimed at getting what he wants. When a person is offended, on a subconscious level he wants to make others feel guilty and thereby achieve what he wants.
Having correctly worked through all grievances using the technique of deep hypnosis, a person can not only remove a huge burden from himself, but also improve relationships with the people around him. Often this radically changes the life position of a person who begins to take responsibility for himself and his actions, and also stops blaming others for failures.
Positive impact on human health
Both official doctors and representatives of esoteric circles are convinced that our emotions and thoughts directly affect the body. However, the state of a person’s health largely reflects not only his consciousness, but also his subconscious, which is much more important. That is why a person often cannot understand and find an explanation for a particular disease, although in appearance he may lead a healthy lifestyle and be an optimist. Much is hidden in the depths of the subconscious, where childhood fears, insecurities and hidden grievances were driven.
During the regressive hypnosis procedure, ancestral and karmic problems are resolved, which immediately has a positive effect on health. It has been noticed that after several sessions, a person’s pain in joints and bones disappears, convulsions go away, good and deep sleep improves (nightmares disappear). So this procedure has a positive effect on human health, since it “restarts” the immune system, due to which many physiological processes in the human body are improved.
Reviews about regressive hypnosis
If we analyze the reviews of those people who were immersed in a state of regressive hypnosis, we can conclude that such a procedure has a positive impact. Many note that after the session they were able to deal with their internal problems and get rid of complexes, bad habits and phobias. As for the experience of past lives, after their passage, many people become re-aware, which makes it possible to look at the world with different eyes, let go of many grievances and hostility, and improve relationships with people around them.
Among the reviews, there are also those that indicate the reluctance of people to further plunge into the depths of their subconscious. In general, this suggests that some people are simply not ready to perceive the full depth of information that is embedded in their subconscious.

Regressive hypnosis is a special technique in which a person who is immersed in a hypnotic trance can become immersed in the experiences of their past lives (or at least they believe so). This technique is used in psychotherapy as one of the healing practices that make a person healthier. In parapsychology, experts use this technique to prove the existence of reincarnation, or the possibility of reincarnation of the soul.
Regressive hypnosis technique
The technique of such hypnosis requires preliminary training of the hypnotist, since it does not quite fit into the framework of the usual technique. After the client is immersed in a trance, he is asked questions that help him orient himself, discover and realize the fact of immersion in a past life. It is known that many people in this state easily describe their life in a past life. However, they also talk about future lives, so it is difficult to talk about the reliability of the information.
There are a large number of critics of the method of regressive hypnosis, who are confident that “past lives” are a figment of the imagination or suggestion of the hypnologist himself. Official medicine rejects the possibility of storing facts about past lives in memory, as well as reincarnation as such.
Regressive hypnosis treatment
There is a group of psychotherapists who are sure that a person’s problems have roots in a past life. In order to overcome an unpleasant state, the client is put into a trance, immersed in the experience of a previous life and forced to go through all the experiences again - now with the goal of letting them go and relieving tension.
Hypnologists who offer this particular technique participate as a guide, which helps ensure the safety of the process. Experts in this field say that with the help of this method the following serious problems can be overcome:
- chronic fatigue;
- sexual dysfunction;
- relationship problems;
- smoking addiction;
- diffidence;
- mental trauma;
- overweight;
- stuttering;
- allergy;
- depression;
- insomnia;
- neuroses;
- childhood trauma;
- phobias.
However, official medicine looks at this technique skeptically, not considering it justified. Experts have even proven that patients are ready to “remember” events that never happened. In addition, the very technique that forces a person to suffer and relive past failures is recognized as inhumane.
Nowadays, the technique is used as a means of personal growth in esoteric trainings (for example, “Regressive hypnosis: life between lives” you can see in the video). By the way, training in regressive hypnosis is possible precisely at similar seminars or meetings. In addition, the technique is also relevant for studies of reincarnation, which is characteristic of the ideas of Buddhism, theosophy, spiritualism, Hinduism, anthroposophy, New Age and others.
Is regression hypnosis safe?
Those therapists who practice regression believe that this technique is absolutely safe. However, official medicine, with its characteristic skepticism, suggests that this kind of experience can be dangerous for mentally unstable and impressionable people.
Currently, there are known cases where such an experience helped a person, as well as sessions that caused mental damage. In some countries, for example, in Israel, this technique is officially prohibited and hypnologists cannot use it. That is why before you decide to do this, you should weigh the pros and cons.

About twenty years ago, an amazing method arose - regressive hypnosis, which allows a person to get... into his previous incarnations. All over the world, only a few psychologists master this technique. And therefore, when one of the most famous specialists in the field of regressive hypnosis, the author of several books, including the bestseller “Between Death and Life,” Dolores Cannon, came to Russia, we could not help but talk with her.
— Dolores, they were developed in almost all countries of the world, with representatives of many nationalities. So a wealth of experience has been accumulated. What does it show?
- Firstly, I have not met a single person who did not have previous incarnations. Secondly, a person lives all his lives in a human body: no one has ever turned out to be a dog or a tree in another incarnation. Human souls return to earth in human bodies to live another human century... Thirdly, in the overwhelming majority of cases we return to the same country in which we lived before: a Hindu is born again as a Hindu, a Russian as a Russian... True, people visit here more often exceptions. But the gender often changes.
- Why, exactly, travel through past lives? Out of curiosity?
- Of course no! This is necessary to get rid of the problems that we are facing now and which cannot be solved using other methods. People can go to a psychologist for years, but they still cannot get rid of some kind of trouble. Here is one recent example. Two ladies came to me - a mother and daughter - with a complaint that they could not improve their relationship. A session of regressive hypnosis with her daughter showed that in a past life she and her mother were husband and wife, the relationship reached a dead end and it all ended in tragedy: a murder occurred. That is why, in their new life, fate brought them together again - gave them another chance to learn how to build relationships. And until they learn this, they will continue to meet each other from life to life - and suffer.
— So our meetings and family ties are predetermined by previous unresolved relationships?
- In most cases.
— How do you manage to “find” in a series of lives exactly the embodiment in which the source of the current problem lies?
“Before the session, I talk with the person for a long time, find out what is tormenting him, what trouble he cannot cope with. This allows him to be taken under hypnosis to where he needs to go. And most importantly, the subconscious itself strives to get rid of pain and directs it in the right direction.
— Is it possible to somehow prove that everything that a person remembers while in the deepest trance really happened to him once in another life? What if this is just a figment of a fevered imagination?
— As you understand, this question was primarily on my mind. At first, I spent hours in libraries and archives, looking for documentary evidence of this or that information that I learned from patients during sessions. And often some facts are discovered. Let's say a person “remembered” that half a century ago he lived in such and such a city in such and such a house. The house was demolished long ago, and a park was created on this site. But in the archive I find that the house really stood and looked exactly as it was described to me under hypnosis. Or documents from an old court case are discovered that surfaced in the patient’s memory during a trance. In general, there is a lot of evidence.
— Have you undergone regression hypnosis yourself?
- Of course. I studied my eight previous incarnations, and it helped me solve serious problems.
—Have you ever met “former” celebrities?
- Yes, but it's not very exciting. Celebrities have the same internal problems as ordinary people. Something else is much more interesting: one of my friends, Katherine, turned out to be... a contemporary of Jesus. Or rather, in one of her past lives she was a young man and communicated with Jesus. She and I accidentally stumbled upon this incarnation - and we were both shocked. We worked for a very long time, I “talked” with an amazing person living in the depths of her memory. The result was Jesus and the Essenes: a living testimony to the distant past. I am convinced that my task is not only to help people cope with psychological difficulties, but also to restore and return to the world some of the lost knowledge.
What exactly is regressive hypnosis?
Hypnosis in the modern age is not just a phenomenon, it is a powerful means of healing, as well as an authoritative means of understanding the secrets of human existence. But regressive hypnosis techniques have become especially popular recently. With the help of hypnotic regression, you can not only return to the past, but also correct the mistakes that we once made. Regressive hypnosis is the most effective and, perhaps, the only real scientific tool with which you can learn the secret of birth and death, the secret of life before birth. With the help of hypnosis, you can understand and correct not only your past, but also your future. With the help of hypnosis, you can reveal those extraordinary abilities that are fully inherent in us from birth.
So, for example, Dr. Bruce Goldberg left dentistry in 1989 and devoted himself entirely to the practice of hypnotherapy in Los Angeles. Dr. Goldberg studied the technique and clinical applications of hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Through lectures, television and radio, interviews and articles in leading American newspapers and magazines, Dr. Goldberg has performed more than 33,000 past life regression and future progression sessions since 1974, which have helped solve problems and opened new possibilities for many thousands of patients. He conducts lectures and seminars on hypnosis, regression and progressive therapy, the method of conscious dying, and also conducts consultations with employees, organizations, local and central media.
R. Moody - American hypnotherapist, one of the leading specialists in regressive hypnosis, author of the book “Life Before Life”, claims that he believed in the reality of these travels only after he himself went through the experience of regressive hypnosis. Evidence of the reality of such travels is numerous evidence and the results of research by serious scientists. For example, Michael Newton, Dollores Claiborne, A. Moody. Modern science has long and successfully used travel to the past for therapeutic purposes. Suffice it to say that good old psychoanalysis, recognized throughout the world as one of the most respected and time-tested areas of psychology, deals with nothing more than traveling into the past. Whether what a person sees on these travels is fantasy or reality - let theorists argue. But the most convincing evidence, of course, can only be one’s own experience.

Regressive hypnosis (regression therapy) is one of the most interesting areas of hypnotherapy, which consists in the therapeutic use of a person’s “journey” through time. The regression method can equally be attributed to both classical and traditional medicine, since its roots go back to the very depths of centuries.
Regression hypnosis is a wonderful technique for depth therapy and personal growth.
Regression therapy is a method by which a person, immersed in deep hypnosis, is able to look into the distant past and talk about it. With the help of regression therapy, many old mental and even physical traumas from the past are cured today.
Problems that can be solved with regression hypnosis:
Get rid of fears and phobias.
Find the cause of your complexes.
Find the meaning of life.
Understand for what purpose I came into this life.
The past may hide the reasons for today's tense relationships in the family, at work or with a specific person.
Find out who you were in past lives. Etc.
What is regressive hypnosis and can you use it to change your destiny for the better?
In fact, regression hypnosis can be divided into three areas:
- Age regression.
- Age progression.
- Travel to past lives.
Age regression - the essence of this method is the following: an earlier period of the client’s life is suggested, right up to the moment of birth. The hypnologist walks with his client through his entire life for a therapeutic purpose. Such in-depth studies of a person’s life help to easily identify all those problems, fears, anxieties and stresses that may have long been forgotten by the client, but sometimes leave a heavy imprint on his character, mental and physical health, and deform his destiny. At each of the ages lived in hypnosis, the hypnologist makes appropriate suggestions and thus smoothes out or even completely eliminates the consequences of the psychological trauma suffered and, accordingly, their manifestations in the future. The hypnologist removes the cause of the problem, and the effect goes away on its own.
When working in age regression, a person remembers in great detail what happened to him many years and even centuries ago. These memories are so colorful, emotional, and realistic that many, having been in past lives, experience these sensations as if it were happening here and now.
In our past we can find the causes of various diseases, complexes, fears, negative habits and addictions, difficulties in establishing normal contacts with people, the inability to solve specific problems - for example, making money - and much, much more.
Age regression allows a person to experience situations where he or she failed in the past. A person will be able to see and understand in a new way what happened to him. From the outside, from the experience of today's life, evaluate these situations and find other solutions, other ways of behavior in them.
Regressive hypnosis makes it possible to break the chain of your failures.
As a result of regression therapy, a person experiences very significant positive changes in his life. For example: family life improves, a breakthrough occurs in a career or business, luck turns to a person!
Age regression has long established itself as a serious and very effective therapeutic method. In a state of age regression, a person’s creative abilities are mobilized. There is also an opportunity to find a predisposition for some skills or sciences and transfer this knowledge into our lives. With the help of age regression, a hypnologist returns a person to the period before the onset of the disease, thereby managing to cure many psychosomatic diseases. For example, such as peptic ulcer or hypertension, bronchial asthma, allergies, sexual disorders, etc. It is possible, as it were, from childhood to instill an interest in learning, learning foreign languages, sports, self-improvement, and generally a love of life.
Age progression - the essence of this method is the following: a later period of the client’s life is suggested, that is, an age older than the real one. What can age progression be used for? This phenomenon can make it clear how a person will react in the future to various stressful and life situations, to possible joyful and tragic shocks and prepare him for them in the most optimal way.
Regression hypnosis shows impressive results. Human consciousness has undergone many changes and has gone from simple curiosity to learn about past lives to a higher theory of knowledge that brings wisdom. With the help of regressive hypnosis, the door opens to the realm of the spiritual highest ideal and here the universality of the method of regressive therapy becomes obvious. After sessions of regressive hypnosis, a person comes to a special understanding of his main life tasks, and begins to quickly progress in achieving his goals.
For a long time, official science did not accept such a phenomenon as Hypnosis, but over the past 20 - 30 years, opinion has changed dramatically, the science of hypnology has taken its respectable place among other generally recognized sciences. Hypnologists have learned to use hypnosis extensively for good. But even now, the phenomenon of hypnosis, like a thousand years ago, is fraught with many miracles and mysteries, and especially the opportunities that open up with regressive hypnosis.
How does age regression work?
All work can be divided into two stages:
The first stage is preparatory.
We conduct test programs, find out your tasks, requests, and agree on what you would like to receive as a result of the work. After this, with my help, you gain the experience of immersion in a trance state. We take a short trip into the past. You study your own impressions and sensations. Many people already at this stage manage to go into their past lives. Sometimes training takes longer and requires an additional meeting. The duration of the preparatory stage depends on experience and the ability to enter trance states, as well as on some personal characteristics.
The second stage is a journey into the past. After the first session, you already have sufficient experience and can easily go into your own past lives.

Regressive hypnosis is a new milestone in psychoanalysis; most of its aspects have not yet been studied; perhaps this unique method of understanding the human soul will make it possible to make many discoveries in the field of medicine and psychotherapy.
The desire to comprehend the unknown gives birth to strange fantasies in people’s heads in order to be able to make fascinating journeys in time space; humanity dreams of inventing a “time machine”, and yet it has existed for a long time, but not in the form in which science fiction writers depict it... br /> About twenty years ago, scientists made an amazing discovery - they found a way for a person to travel through time; regressive hypnosis helps to push back the time frame. Using regressive hypnosis, specialists put a person into a trance and try to focus his attention on a specific period of time.
In a state of hypnotic trance, a person sees a specifically specified period of time and behaves in accordance with the state in which he is. For example, being a robber in a past life, he speaks in the slang inherent to a particular social stratum, gestures and facial expressions reflect his inner world. Using the method of regressive hypnosis, you can find out who a person was in a past life, and whether he knew how to establish connections with the outside world.
The longer scientists studied the phenomenon of regressive hypnosis and reincarnation, the more popular the new technology became. Specific facts communicated to the hypnotist during the sessions proved that the soul or some other substance living in the human body, after his physical death, was reincarnated into a new form, put on a body and began to live a different life.
One of the strongest specialists in the field of regressive hypnosis, Dolores Cannon, who studied hundreds of patients, came to the conclusion that the human soul, after the death of the body, is reborn not into a representative of the animal world, but into a human being, and, most often, the new creature remains to live in the country where it lived until physical death.
Also, in the process of using regressive hypnosis, it turned out that often people who were close relatives in the past remain so after reincarnation, but this only happens if there are unresolved conflicts between them. It’s as if higher powers are giving them another chance to establish a spiritual connection with each other.
Regressive hypnosis is used not so much for the purpose of studying issues of reincarnation and satisfying human curiosity, but for the treatment of serious psychological and sometimes physical ailments.
Regression is a return to the past; this process allows a person to find himself both several centuries from the moment of hypnosis, and several years ago, when a particular disease began.
There is a reasonable hypothesis that most of the psychological problems a person faces in adulthood are associated with certain childhood dissatisfaction. A person is unable to remember all the nuances of what happened to him decades ago; regressive hypnosis helps the patient return to the past and deal with fears that affect his psychological and physical health.
Scientists have proven that with the help of regressive hypnosis it is possible to cope with such physical ailments as peptic ulcers, bronchial asthma, hypertension, allergies and sexual disorders. To some extent, all of them are in one way or another associated with injuries to the nervous system, so it is not surprising that eliminating the main psychosomatic problem also entails getting rid of its side effects.

RESEARCH BY MICHAEL NEWTON
Michael Newton received his PhD in Psychology and is a Certified Hypnotherapy Practitioner and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He has also worked in higher education as a faculty member with an active private practice in Los Angeles. Over the years, Dr. Michael Newton has developed his own intensive age regression method to more effectively hypnotize subjects and unlock the interlife memory period. He is considered a pioneer in unlocking the mysteries of life after death through hypnotic regression. He is still training other advanced hypnotherapists in his methods.
Dr. Michael Newton is the author of three best-selling books, The Soul's Journey: Case Studies of Life Between Lives (Llewellyn, 1994), The Soul's Purpose: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives (Llewellyn, May 2000), and Life Between lives": hypnotherapy for spiritual regression (Llewellyn, 2004). Michael Newton has an international reputation as a regressionist who has described much of our lives between lives. He has appeared on numerous national radio and television talk shows to talk about our immortal life in the spirit world.
When Dr. Michael Newton, a certified hypnotherapist, began time-regressing his clients into their former life memories, he stumbled upon a discovery of enormous significance: that it was possible to peer into the spirit world through the eyes of subjects who were in a state of hypnosis or in a state of superconsciousness, and that clients in this altered state were able to tell him what their souls were doing between lives on Earth. His book, The Journey of the Soul, is the culmination of ten years of research and insight to help people discover purpose in life, describing how and why our souls—and the souls of those we love—live forever. His follow-up book, Soul's Purpose, is also highly recommended. In May 2004, a new book by Dr. Michael Newton was released entitled "The Life Between Lives": Hypnotherapy for Spiritual Regression. Dr. Michael Newton is also the founder of the Spiritual Regression Society. Below is an interview with Michael Newton:
Question: “Life Between Lives” is your third book in a series of works about the afterlife. How is it different from “Soul's Journey” and “Soul's Destination”?
Answer: It is different because in it I detail my methods of spiritual hypnotherapy to gain information about the soul. The Life Between Lives should serve as a practical guide for hypnotists in the art of spiritual regression. This work answers many questions from the public about what it is like to be a client and be in a super trance state. I hope that the book “Life Between Lives” will help reveal the secret of the process of spiritual regression, which took me many years to develop, and it is one that I would like to interest as many people and therapists as possible.
Question: You have developed your own regression method called “life between lives” (“LIF”). Can you briefly describe it and explain why it is based on hypnosis?
Answer: The art of regression is to take ordinary people from a fully conscious waking state and place them in deep hypnosis to achieve contact with their superconsciousness, which stores the memory of our soul. In this state, a person is able to see all of his past lives or the state between lives in the spiritual world. When working with a client, the regression therapist must spend a lot of time preparing the client and achieving the necessary immersion after introduction in order to achieve the depth of trance necessary to contact the immortal soul. It's more about diving and maintaining depth. Here is my secret to successful regression. This takes time. Unlike regular hour-long hypnosis, FFM takes three to four hours of hard work for both therapist and client. I wrote about this in detail in the book “Life Between Lives.”
Question: Is there a particular point during regression that is especially important to your clients?
Answer: This is a difficult question, since there are many important points in regression. But one of the most powerful is the first contact with a spiritual guide experienced in deep hypnosis. It is like a revelation to see your spiritual teacher. Many people are very stressed during this time, so I have to pause the questions while they recover.
Question: People call you “the messenger of spiritual truth.” What do you think about it?
Answer: Of course, it flatters me. Such statements have haunted me throughout my years of work, but the fact is that the highest truth about our existence goes side by side with the existence of our unconscious. My task is to help people reveal its content and learn the spiritual truth. My clients taught me this.
Question: How has the information you gained through regression affected your life?
Answer: I have had thousands of clients who have brought me light over more than three decades of research. At the beginning of my life I was skeptical about everything spiritual. I studied philosophy, history, comparative theology and traveled in search of the meaning of life that constantly eluded me. To be honest, I didn't believe in anything higher than me and I didn't believe in life after death. I detail my awakening and discoveries in the introduction to Journeys of the Soul. My clients gave me all of this. They had different levels of philosophical understanding of life, they belonged to different directions, but every time in a deep trance, somewhere in the middle of the session, they all told me the same thing about existence beyond life. After many sessions, I revised my ideas about Creation, order, purpose in the Universe. My clients have given me my meaning in life and enriched my existence.
Question: What advice would you give to people interested in working at ZHMZ?
Answer: Start with my book “Life Between Lives” and you will understand whether you like this field of work. I think experience in psychology, counseling, or mental health therapy would be helpful. A person should also have at least a hundred (preferably two or three) basic and advanced training in hypnotherapy, plus two or three years of practical experience, especially in regression therapy. He must be guided by an honest intention to help people find themselves in spiritual existence, to answer the questions “Where are they from?” and “Why are they on earth?” Finally, the therapist must be prepared for long, difficult hours of active work with clients.”
Michael Newton's works describe the confessions of more than 7,000 clients under deep hypnosis. Now anyone can try this technique by regressing into their past life.
“Although I have performed countless regression therapy sessions for over a decade, after reading the stories my clients told me, I decided to teach my clients regression therapy so they could help someone else. By teaching my patients regression therapy, I want each of them to give people this wonderful and incomparable experience.” Michael Newton's research reveals to us an unusually harmonious and harmonious spiritual world that does not know death.

Regressive hypnosis technique
It is important to understand that in order to positively immerse the patient in a state of regressive hypnosis, the specialist requires preliminary preparation. During this process, the hypnologist examines the person’s state, makes eye contact with him, asks questions and listens to answers. This allows you to create an atmosphere of friendliness and trust between the doctor and the recipient, remove tension and achieve ease.
Thanks to this, the person’s subconscious psychological defenses are removed, which allows the doctor to plunge him into a deeper trance state. The trance technique includes the following steps:
- Introducing a person into a trance state, but maintaining constant communication with him through leading questions. This helps the patient get comfortable in a new space, dive deep into himself, and focus on his feelings and visions.
- Upon reaching the required depth of trance, the hypnologist begins to ask questions that help identify the root cause of a person’s problem, drawing out all the important information from the depths of the subconscious. As a result of this, the doctor sees the source of the problem, trying to understand it as deeply as possible in order to resolve it.
- After accurately understanding what caused the crisis, the hypnologist, through certain manipulations and words, corrects the situation of the past and records the changed version in the subconscious. Next, the patient slowly returns to the present and exits the trance state.
During the entire process, the hypnologist controls the situation, monitoring the patient’s condition and preventing strong emotional outbursts. This is important because in a trance state it is important to prevent a person from overexpending his energy, as this can become a source of new problems and crises.
To study the experience of past lives, as well as to find the root cause of the problem, often one session of regressive hypnosis is not enough. In this case, repeated immersions into a trance state are carried out until the hypnologist reaches the original starting point.
In a state of deep trance, a person often remembers the smallest details of his past and even his previous incarnations. The positive effect of regressive hypnosis is achieved through re-awareness of past events, which allows you to let go of pain, resentment and disappointment. Instead, an understanding of the importance of the experience comes and a desire arises to live on, develop and find oneself in this world.
Regressive hypnosis - what is it in the simplest words
If you are reading this, then you are already above the average level of understanding of the structure of the world and the Universe. And that's great!
It’s no secret that our soul lives and is reincarnated dozens of times; from the moment it appears until the present moment, it accumulates a significant amount of information, say, like a flash drive. And everything is stored in it: knowledge, life experience, skills, joy, pain, trauma, hatred, all the good and bad that happened to a person during his life - this data is stored and rewritten from time to time, deeper and deeper forming a permanent information egregor of the Soul.
And this “flash drive” also has a margin of safety, it can act up and break down, sometimes life-ending situations, betrayal or other deep emotional shock can leave an “information virus” on it in the form of a negative memory, which over time will strengthen and begin to have an impact for new incarnations. Normal life programs will also begin to experience disruptions.
Upheavals from past lives do not necessarily manifest themselves in a person’s present life, but our research (more than 4,000 hours of regression sessions) shows that the majority have similar problems in some form.
The “virus”, or genetic memory, or the pain of the soul will at some point turn out to be strong enough, and then they can get out into real life. Examples of such outlets for the pain of the soul: birthmarks, scars without a situation of occurrence, spontaneous neuroses without the possibility of explanation, panic attacks, nightmares - the list is much wider and each of these phenomena can arise as a result of tragedies of the past and the soul screaming about them.
Regressive hypnosis works with such problems; past lives are the cause of them.
Self-regression hypnosis
In the course of numerous studies and experiments, it was found that a person can immerse himself in regressive hypnosis on his own. The only thing here is that it is important to observe safety precautions and follow certain instructions, which allows you to control the situation. The deep trance technique includes the following sequence of actions:
- Take a comfortable sitting position, lean on the back of a chair or armchair and relax as much as possible; You are allowed to tilt your head back slightly.
- Try to drive away all thoughts and emotional experiences, breathe evenly and measuredly, achieving a feeling of comfort and relaxation, complete unity with the outside world.
- Allow your consciousness to gradually plunge into a trance state, but be sure to instill in yourself complete control over the situation that is happening; Give yourself the mindset that, if necessary, you can get out of the state of deep hypnosis by counting from 1 to 5.
- Start immersing yourself in your subconscious by slowly counting from 10 to 1, and when moving from one number to another, you must move your eyes left and right or up and down.
- After the number one is pronounced, very slowly close your eyes and smoothly immerse yourself in a trance state.
During a trance, the body should be as relaxed as possible, and the eyes should be closed, and it is important to try to “dissolve” your consciousness in the universe, as if to “get out of your body.” Deep immersion is highly effective when imagining yourself on the bank of a river, in a forest or on top of a mountain with a beautiful landscape view around, where pleasant memories of a hike or excursion can play a positive role. It is extremely important to listen to your body and try not to tense up, as all the muscles of the body and face should be relaxed.
Gradually, images in the form of pictures will appear before a person’s eyes, which must be carefully examined, recording the smallest details and details. At the same time, it is important to maintain harmony with your inner and outer world, without emotional attachment. When diving to a deeper level, you should turn your attention to the little finger of your hand and move it. This will mean that you are in control of the situation and will be able to exit the state of deep hypnosis at any time.
You should not give in to the first desire to immediately tackle a painful issue or topic, as this can be psychologically traumatizing if a person is not yet ready to understand the essence of the problem. Initially, you need to create an “evaluative self-portrait” for yourself, and then smoothly and carefully dive into yourself. It is better to find answers to the most pressing questions at the 3rd or 4th session of self-immersion.
Sequence of thoughts in a state of deep trance
To successfully complete the self-hypnosis procedure, they begin to immerse themselves in memories from their childhood. To do this, the brightest and brightest events of a positive orientation are pulled out of memories, which opens the door to even greater depths of a person’s subconscious. Next, they begin to obtain information about their past lives, which is necessary in order to gain valuable experience that will manifest itself in a certain awareness.
At this stage, a person imagines a corridor of past lives, on which he sees one or more doors, behind each of which there is a life path in one of the past incarnations on earth. You should not visit more than 2 doors, since in this case the consciousness may not record the information, and it will simply be forgotten after leaving the trance. Here it is important not to rush, but to act consistently, initially entering the door that is the most striking and unusual, arousing a person’s interest.
To exit, they slowly and carefully return from the door to the corridor, after which they are transported to childhood. Next, consciousness freely transfers the person to the present time by counting from 1 to 5, as he himself initially agreed upon, before entering a trance state. Before leaving, you must give the instructions to remember everything that was seen during hypnosis.

If it doesn’t work right away, then try to return in a more relaxed state, the result depends on your personal approach. There is no magic pill; without your desire, even the most experienced hypnologist will not be able to immerse you in regressive hypnosis and send you to past lives
The immersion technique is easiest for practitioners of meditation, yoga and other activities aimed at balancing body and spirit in the moment; it will also be easy for those who are engaged in creative activities in life. Those who follow the path of logic and skeptics experience difficulties.
Second option: start self-paced or centralized regression training.
How much does regression hypnosis cost?
The price of regressive hypnosis depends on the use of the technique of diving into the depths of the subconscious, the time of the session, as well as the specific specialist who provides the services. In general, the cost ranges from 3,000 to 13,000 rubles. per session, so the price difference is quite high. Many hypnologists do not charge fees if the session fails to achieve deep immersion, which should also be taken into account.
Dangers and Disadvantages of Regressive Hypnosis
It is important to understand that any manipulation with your subconscious should be carried out very carefully so as not to cause harm, so the session should be conducted by an experienced hypnologist with extensive experience. It is also worth noting that during a session a person can look not only into past lives, but also into future incarnations, and this information can be somewhat shocking to an unprepared person. For this reason, many hypnologists do not advise looking into the future.
Not all doctors approve of regressive hypnosis, because they believe that as a result of the procedure, a person with a weak psyche can be subjected to severe stress. At the same time, scientific research in the field of hypnotherapy confirms the fact that with proper preparation, a person with the help of regressive hypnosis can get rid of phobias and addictions, as well as discover new abilities and talents, and gain a positive attitude.
Benefits of Regressive Hypnosis
I attribute this to favorable side effects. At the moment of immersion, our brain activity is greatly activated, we grasp new sensations and emotions, remember everything old and forgotten, so after the session new talents, abilities for new languages, sports and other forgotten or previously unknown hobbies may begin to reveal themselves.
